My long-term career plan is to start a business with my business partners. I spent a fair amount of time building my financial skills throughout my career, yet I felt the need to gain general management skills to manage my own business. Through UNI’s MBA program I gained a good deal of knowledge that I can exercise in actual business situations. The program's business capstone simulation is a wonderful experience. It provides a user-friendly platform to practice business strategies without actually taking risks in the real-world business environment. To succeed in the capstone, we spent a great deal of time studying the fundamentals of the simulation program, tested different strategies, and analyzed outcomes. Through many trials and errors we reached an optimal strategy, which gave us an edge over competing teams. The learning process gave me a deeper understanding of the many business theories and management concepts I gained in the MBA program.
