  Addy Chan
General Manager
Dalumi Hong Kong Ltd.
I have been in the jewelry industry for more than 15 years, starting as a sales executive. Since then, my knowledge of jewelry and diamonds has expanded. In 1995 I was qualified to use the gemological title of FGA after finishing a widely recognized Fellow of the Gemological Association certification program in the UK.

Today I am in a senior management position with an international diamond company, Dalumi Diamonds Ltd. The company has 14 profit centers around the world. I am in charge of a center that is responsible for the Asia Pacific markets, including China.

I have found that I am able to apply what I learned in my MBA classes to my job. For example, during the Management Information Systems course, a discussion about how business models are changing made me think about the relationships between our customers, our salespeople, and the company. Thinking about how to enhance these relationships is an important part of my job as a manager.

Another benefit of taking UNI MBA classes is the connection I made with classmates from different industries. Besides the knowledge taught in class by each dedicated UNI professor, which undoubtedly is helping me become a better manger, I appreciated the opportunity to learn new and interesting things from other MBA students.
